With Christmas over, I guess it's time to get back to work on planning the wedding.
I believe I have found my wedding dress! It's really pretty, but I can't say much about it because Matt is not supposed to know about it!
On New Years Day, Valerie, Stefanie, Tanya and I are all going shopping for bridesmaid's dresses. I'm excited about it. I think it should be a lot of fun. :)

We've set a wedding date and even found a place to get married and have the reception! We're getting married on July 17, 2004 at the Albuquerque Marriot Pyramid North! I'm so excited we're not getting married in a high school gym! :) Now all we need is... EVERYTHING ELSE! :)
If needed, our wedding guests can stay at the hotel for only $89 a night (instead of $159).

Anybody who thinks that finding a place to have a wedding/reception is the easy part of planning the thing has thought about it way too much or is in denial. It's hard. We're not even having a huge amount of people (rough estimates are 60-100) and finding a place that A) Isn't super expensive or B) Doesn't have tons of rules dictating every aspect of the ceremony is much more difficult than it should be. Kim and I would like an outside wedding but this being Albuquerque, you can't count on the weather staying the same for more than 10 minutes so we're trying to find a place with an indoor space in case of rain/heatwave/hurricane force winds, all of which are all to common here during summer. The goal is to have a place chosen by this weekend so hopefully we'll find somewhere good soon. Otherwise it's the gym at the local high school.
Just kidding.
